My shifter was bubba'd...so i need to change it...has anyone used aftermarket stuff and been able to retain the original T shifter that is in the car ???

I got ya....I am positive that hurst offers a kit that will allow you to retain the original T.......I have seen and driven the close ratio and it is nice....no part number though
The Hurst comp plus I put in my car doesn't have the T lockout but to put it in reverse requires extra force to push it over to the gate. I've never accidentally shifted into reverse with it.
I'd definitely go with that instead of another factory shifter.
