Default O.T. Website Check

Sorry this has nothing to do with Vettes .... but I need different eyes and different computers to visit my newly revamped website.

http://www.brustasconsulting.com

If you folks could "red-pencil it" for me and let me know what needs changed I would sure appreciate it.

The blue link-text is hard to read against the blue background. Otherwise it looks

Looks good, clean and readable. did you try a lighter shade of blue???

And none of it caches. every click has to reload the graphics.

I messed with color a bit, landing on that one because I liked the feel of it. I still need to go over the wording on the site, but I think the graphics are OK for now.

definitely restyle the hyperlinks. You can just simply do that with a style section in the head. Just declare normal, over and visited states. Most HTML editors support easy creation of styles.

As a marketing writer, I'd say you need to spruce up the main page to include more information about what you provide and use the Services link to provide your in-depth services.

It is difficult to compete with larger consulting firms so you need to isolate some clear benefits to someone choosing your services over a larger firm. Obviously, a larger firm has the backing and capital to stay in business, which is very important in today's economy. So, you need to call out distinct benefits you can provide, i.e., lower cost, custom-tailored services, etc. Use today's catch phrases (business value, Total Cost of Ownership, streamlined efficiencies, etc)

You also might not want to use "I" and go with we, or simply Brustas. Otherwise, you call to their attention that you are a single person. However, it all depends on your target market.

Also, regardin websites, do you simply design a facade or do you program web pages to capture client information? Can you do forms and on-line applications, such as store fronts, or do you simply provide an online presence for your clients? java - script skills? Can you link your page to samples of web sites you've designed? Even smaller firms like to "touch and feel" what they're going to potentially buy.

Hope this helps.

If you'd like additional input, or possibly some help from a techincal writer, let me know.

Bob
