Good job  , now my '72 is white with black int..............

To all who are interested, check Walmarts for models. Revell is doing a 50th thing and putting out about all years in 1:25 plastic. Johnny Lighting is also doing all 50 in 1:64 scale diecast, the sharks that I have found(mostly at Targets) look good. :seeya
Cool - I got the 69 Baldwin at Walmart at Christmas time. Someday I will start
building it with my boys.

PS - I reworked the second photo for ya. A bit darker and a pinch of sharpening:

Pick up the 2003 issue of Car Modeler (available at most hobby shops). It has a 1969 Shark in the upper right corner. Inside you will find 12 pages with great detail on building very accurate models of the early C3s. Well worth the $7.95 cover price if you are a serious model builder.

Great job on the model!

For those that want a realistic antenna (plastic has to be a certain size to stay rigid), use piano wire. It's available all over and looks great. use superglue to hold it in.

Big Boys, Tiny Vettes... my fingers are too big, my eyes are too bad for those teeny weeny 1/25th scale kits.. i build the big stuff. Gotta love those 1/8th scale Corvettes from Monogram. Id like to see a reissue of the three they made, even if it does lower the value on my collection. For the record, Monogram made 1/8th scale kits of a 1965 Fuel Injected Coupe, a 1978 (non pace car), and a 1985. These cars are over 2 feet long when finished, and the detail is amazing, especially the 65, which was first issued in 65. To the member who wanted a 73 vette model, good luck. 1973 is a pretty rare year as far as domestic model kits go. Your best bet is to use your wits and skill to graft a 68/72 rear and to a 74/78 front end, shave the rubber bumperettes off the front and go on from there. shouldnt be too hard if you make your body cut at the rear of the doors/t-tops.

Great job on the model. I did a little kit bashing to create a replica of my 69 coupe and 75 convertible using a 69 convertible and a 77 coupe. It was a little hard to swap just the tops, but super glue and its fixer makes good model bondo. Joe

nice...that antenna looks really big though???
:p: I was hoping nobody would notice. The car is 1:25 scale, but I think the antenna they included is around 1:16 scale! :cuss

Thanks, I haven't had the time to go back and edit the "overexposed" pic. Still learning about my new digital camera, but love it so far!

Sweet! I went for the die cast model myself...less glue. Now you need to buy a garage, hire a mechanic, refinance the house to pay for parts and upgrades, etc. :)
