As for Michael Moore... Freedom of Speech, it's the foundation upon which your country is built, yet you seem to condemn him for speaking his mind.... kind of ironic that's all.
Many people seem to think that their freedom of speech protects them from any criticism once the throw whatever they say out there. We are just as free to express our opinion of him and his. He is free to rant in whatever forum he can find. The producers of the show however are in no way obligated to allow him an opportunity to speak in the future.
I happen to think he is a little paranoid and a little more interested in self promotion. Controversy is his stock and trade so his motives are somewhat suspect.

we should have started the bombing in Hollywood. How do you think the Dixie Chicks, that idiot director, and all those other celebrities would fare if they had to live in Iraq? :nono:

If I wanted to hear his views on the war, I would show up to a peace rally that he's speaking at, listen, and then kick his fat azz!

Michael Moore: Whoa. On behalf of our producers Kathleen Glynn and Michael Donovan from Canada, I'd like to thank the Academy for this. I have invited my fellow documentary nominees on the stage with us, and we would like to — they're here in solidarity with me because we like nonfiction. We like nonfiction and we live in fictitious times. We live in the time where we have fictitious election results that elects a fictitious president. We live in a time where we have a man sending us to war for fictitious reasons. Whether it's the fictition of duct tape or fictition of orange alerts we are against this war, Mr. Bush. Shame on you, Mr. Bush, shame on you. And any time you got the Pope and the Dixie Chicks against you, your time is up. Thank you very much.
Here's my take: Who cares? The guy has a right to say it. We don't have to listen to what he has to say (I did). We don't have to agree with what he said (I don't).
It takes all kinds. And yeah, our differences of opinion can be frustrating, because it forces us think, maybe more than we really want to. When it comes to something of this magnatude, there is no easy solution, no easy answer. So it begs a lot of thought and consideration. And personally, I want to hear and consider all sides, just in case there is a perspective out there, better than mine.
And there usually is.
When it all comes down to it, even though I didn't vote for Bush, I support him. A truly great leader does not reveal all his cards. And I trust in the people who surround Bush, enough to know that we will do the right thing. America typically does. To do this, takes strength. And circular as the process may be, the strength comes from the diversity of our citizens and the thoughts and voices God has given us the right to have.
It was Patrick Henry that said: "I may disagree with what you have to say, but I'll fight to the death for your right to say it"

And as far as you thinking it was stupid to start this war, I guess you might have a different opinion if you knew any of the 100,000+ that Saddam's regime killed.
That's not what I'm saying at all. I'm saying that all peaceful attempts to
disarm Saddam have failed. I'm saying that the risk to human life by
letting Saddam play his games with bogus inspections and the useless
UN have outweighed the risks of taking military action. I'm saying that
the goal is to minimize the loss of human life. And sometimes, that
means military action.
As far as Michael Moore is concerned...
http://www.hardylaw.net/Truth_About_Bowling.html
He created a work of fiction. He didn't create a documentary at all.
He lied and twisted the facts in order to make money. Plain and simple.
Your nonsensical and rude statement that I should explain why I
think Kindergarteners should get shot doesn't even deserve a response.

I personally have yet to hear hard proof that he actually has not disarmed. No Scuds, No Scud batteries or launchers found, no chem or bio weapons found, only suits, empty warheads and anti toxin. The last three were not required to be destoyed.
Besides, in the event that he still has weapons of mass destruction, the loss of life could be catostrophic. Loss of life in WW1, WW2, Korea and Vietnam were on the order on 1 in 15. That equates to 17,000 Americans, not to mention civilians and Iraqi military.
We have also create dsuch hatred against the US abroad, that we could feel a huge backlash with terror attacks.
I guess you haven't been following the news. Iraq has
already launched a number of missiles in violation of
the UN mandates. Including SCUDs.
There were also those who thought we shouldn't have
gotten involved in WWII as well.
It's a moot point anyway. Because your opinion is fortunately
in the minority and we're taking the appropriate action.
The US Civil War:
North: Hey Southern states, we've decided that black people are humans and shouldn't be our slaves.
South: You know, we never saw it that way, okay, let's make them free people with rights.
That would be great, and that is a goal we should all try to achieve, but it never works that way, but if we lose sight of this as an idea, we will just wage wars constantly about little things and cause our own demise (in the long run of course). This is an extreme example, but this is why we need to have extremists to control the extremists on the other end. I support our troops and I hope for a quick resolution to the war. You won't see me at a peace rally. Kids have been protesting outside of my school all week and I think they are fools.
Okay, so Moore was 100% truthful. But then again that is also a biased article. Perhaps Moore was truthful on the NRA rally in Flint since the author of your article did not mention it. It also doesn't touch the KMart scenes. Its up to you what you want to believe. Let's just count the whole thing as inadmissable then. I like the movie and found it entertaining, you do not. Fine. Obviously it would be impossible to agree on anything about the movie so we shouldn't discuss it.
