YIPPIE!! YAHOOO!! WAHOOO!! Found a local guy to paint my 72. Strip the old paint, fix a few stress cracks, make the body smooth as glass, seal it up, two stage PPG Millie Miglia, three coats of clear, 6 weeks to complete....5K His work is evidently known throught out the neighborhood because we traveled the area looking at some great cars he has painted. (700hp NASCAR type modified Firebird was awsome) At every house we visited we were invited to refreshments and car talk. He also offered to help me align the doors and hood afterward, for I will assemble the body to keep cost down. I'm a happy guy!! :D :D :D

Hi Eddie,
Nice one! But I thought you guys were awash with decent painters (look, I used to read EasyRiders, Ok? ). Price sounds good, does that include all the hard to get at places as well? For the same job on mine I was quoted £8000 (about $12 000, yep 12 THOUSAND... have I got "SUCKER" written across my forehead?!!!). That's what I paid for the entire car!!
Do you think he'd be up for a working vacation in England?
Excellent Fast Eddie   I knew you would find the right guy.....So you decided to go with the Mille Miglia ..I thingk that is a great choice and a Sweet color as well......Especially with the sidepipes
Thanks for all the kind words guys. I am impressed with him, for he takes on one project at a time....devotes his focus..and finishes. All the other -places I went had a dozen cars lined up..all being done at their leijure! He also was a 15yr body man for GM, so he knows vettes and fiberglass. Does all the stripping in his MONSTEROUS garage...then paints in a booth at a place he works at part time. Will give constant updates...for those who are interested.
