C3 Power Steering Upgrade
Need Help with Set-up of control valve for poweer steering, bought a upgrade kit from Mid America, all hardware installed per directions. during start-up checked fuild level, OK. Hydrualic cylinder extended full after letting her warm up, now I go around in left hand circles on any trip. Tried turning the adjustment nut counter clockwise and clockwise looking for that special balance ( yea, touchy adjustment) I must be close though, with the engine off I can now manually straighten the wheels ( with a little fluid leaking from the filler cap, a little over filled I guess) ). Anyone have a suggestion on setting this up.

You normally disconnect the ram from the frame by removing the nut. With the ram hanging down start the engine and slowly turn the adjustment nut until the ram is neutral, One way it will go out and the other way it will go in. Find the adjustment where the ram is neautral and you can pull it in or out by hand and it stays.
Reattach to the frame and you should be done.

what norval said will work best.its a very touchy adjustment.first time i set one up it was way out and i reached in between the wheel and started it up the wheel spun hard to the right almost broke my wrist.
