Jacking car up
Where should i place the jack? im lifting the rear end up so i can remove the wheels and inspect the brakes.

I usually put the jack under the pumpkin, but I suppose it depends on what kind of jack you are using.

The jack is a floor jack( the ones with the wheels and the long handle)

Some cars have pumpkins although some of the earlier cars had cantalopes or honeydews. It is the rear differential :D I jack one side at a time at the frame about 6 inches in front of the wheels, but others jack from the pumpkin.

If you use these points and want to get the car fairly high, I will work my way from side to side raising each side a little higher as I go along.
