2004R delayed 2/3 upshift when cold
It just started doing this. When I pull out of the driveway it will shift into 2nd on time. But then when I expect 3rd it doesnt happen. When I let off the gas I dont feel engine braking, as if the trans is in neutral so to speak. When I push back down on gas, the r's shoot to 3k before I feel it kick in. If I put it in neutral and pull it back to D it will maybe engage 3rd. As soon as the car has been driven, and the trans has had a chance to warm up a bit, the problem goes away, and the trans works fine the rest of the day. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

TV cable is correct and always had been. Very very taught at full throttle. If it was wrong then I suspect the problem would continue throughout use, not just temporarly in the beginning. This is strange though. The first couple of times on first run of the day it will shift up thru all the gears fine. Maybe on the 3rd or 4th set of upshifts it will act up for a few mins. Eventually I can coax it to upshift by revin up and lettin off, and then the problem will go away for the rest of the day. Fluid level is good and color is red as it should be. I havnt changed a thing. It just started acting up like this.
