One day to complete rear end project..
When reinstalling the T-arm would you use grease or never seize on the bolts? I don't plan on EVER having to remove them again but... just in case?
Also, 65lbs torque on the nut seem right?
Front differential bolt.. 65lbs?
Blue lock tight on the universal strap bolts.. 15lbs torque.
Diff Carrier to car bolts.. Never seize or grease on bolt.. Since it doesn't move I'm leaning towards never seize.. 70lbs torque?
When putting on the diff gasket do I need to use RTV too or just the gasket? I heard some guys use a spray glue to hold the gasket in place for easier install.. is it necessary.. I used fishing line to hold the gasket in place on the valve covers.. Wondering if it will leak without RTV or something.. Should be easy to install the gasket since I'm doing it on the bench..
One or two bottles of limited slip juice?
Synthetic diff lube of dyno 90 weight?
Thanks in advance! :smash: :smash:
I was looking at gear lube last night. The store sold two brands.. Valvoline 85-140 or Coastal 75-90. Is there a down side to using the heavier weight fluid?
Any help on the other questions. Thanks!
