Well I've decided it's easier to add a stroker kit while the engine is out of the car, so that's what I'm doing now instead of heads :D
I can add those later.
Questions:
1. I'm going to use "enginekits.com" and was wondering if anyone has used them before?
2.I guess I have a 2 piece seal from what I've head on my 1980 L-82. This true? heh...
3. I'm going to be adding nitrous and possibly a supercharger down the line. Besides getting dished pistons (8.3:1 approx with 76cc heads), do I really need the Hypereutectic pistons?
4. I know I need the block punched to 30 over. Do I need them to do anything else to the block while they have it?
Thanks...more questions to come for cam selection soon! :)
No, if you're running a nitrous shot of about 125hp or more you NEED forged pistons. Hypereutectics will be fine with nitrous shots of 100hp or smaller. I was told this by Mike69, who does professional nitrous sales/installation. Good luck with your motor
joes you have a 2 piece rear main seal,if your going with nitrous someday at least hyper. pistons, what ryan just said if your going bigger then forged.
