Default New guy with questions

Hi to all, glad to be a part of the forum. :seeya

I recently bought my first Vette, 1976 L-48, and am in the process of replacing all suspension bushings, currently on the front end. Is it possible to remove the upper control arms without first moving or removing the radiator? I've already removed the fan and loosened the shroud, but I still can't make enough room. Just want to make sure I'm not missing something.

Second, does anyone know of a club in the Northeast TN (Tri-Cities) / Southwest VA area?

I've found a lot of useful info on this forum so far, but I'm sure I'll have plenty more questions in the near future.

Welcome :seeya
You won't find a better group of guy/gals anywhere else on the internet. The knowledge and passion these people have about their cars is unparalleled. As far as you upper control arms go, mine came out without having to take any other part off the car.....but I guess I am lucky I have a non-AC 1971. I think you may have to take the shroud out on your 76. You will get some help here. Go to the tools menu up at the top and search the tech tips. There is a lot of information there.

Welcome!

C3VR has a Corvette Club directory with 8 clubs listed in TN and 12 in VA, so I'd bet at least one of them is close to you!

go to: http://www.c3vr.com/clubs_main.asp

You'll be prompted to log in. You can either sign up, or click the "Login as Guest" link to view the directory.
