Compression ratio?
I install a set of Edelbrock performer Aluminum heads (64CC) and .018 head gasket and I was wandering about what my compression ratio would be now. The bottom end is totally stock 77 L48.

That "should" put ya up into the mid 9s but I cant prove it to ya. I've got about the same set up as you and have no problem with 93 Octane pump gas. You should be in better shape with your aluminum heads........ :cheers:

Probably at least 10 to 1. The odler 350's from the 69-70 model year have 64cc castiron heads and flattop pistons like you probably have. Thier listed at 10.25 to 1. Im runnin 64cc iron heads milled .012 and im sure im above the factory listing for motors with flattops and 64cc's. Im probably clost to 10.5 to one. I have had no trouble on high test pump gas.

Acutally I think L-48 Pistons have a slight dish to them. If you add the cylinder heads, camshaft and an aluminum intake it will make a world of difference.
