I am almost complete with my model of a 1971 (Actually the box says 1972 but the interior has the fiber optics on the center console) My paint is War Bonnett Yellow and I would love to paint it that color. Any art people out there? What colors do I need to mix to make WBY? Use the picture in my sig to match it. Thanks and as soon as it is complete I'll post some pictures.
John
Sure seems like there was an F-Body (camaro) in the 90's that was a very similar color to yours and had a black roof. I'd swear I've seen one. Go to the dealer and look a paint chips and then buy a can of touch up spray for the closest color you can find.
Or have a paint shop mix you up a pint of war bonnet yellow. Mixing your own will be hard to get a match.

I thought of doing that but I want to use Testors enamal. I know someone that paints or is into art can tell which colors I would need to blend to come up with WBY. If I don't get any results then I will do that. I don't want to buy a whole buch of paint that I'll only use once. BTW my model looks  I forgot about it when we moved and found it in a box the other day.
Thanks Glenn
There's a 90's Camaro in our parking lot that looks like war bonnet yellow. I'l get the details and see if duplicolor makes a spray can of it for you.
The sad part is, I'm still working on the same model you saw 15 months ago. :bb I changed the rear flares and I've cut the front clip loose to make it full tilt . . . I may be slow, but I'm good!!! :D :D

Thanks Glenn,
I am the same way, I take my time and make it right. I think I have put it together and taken it apart (without glue) a million times to get all the paint just right. Last night I spent 2 hours painting the rear tail light. I am actually painting the chrome inserts on the tail light lens and also the backup lights that are in the center of the lens......how **** is that????? I will probably do it over because I didn't like the results (maybe, I haven't looked at it today so I may change my mind)
you can get paint to match in enamel. go to the paint supply store and just ask for the spray can in enamel. it should only cost about 12 bucks, but it will match
