Late model, plastic master cylinder

Late model, plastic master cylinder
Does anyone know if there are any late model, plastic master cylinders that are "bolt on" replacements for the stock, iron master cylinder? I'm looking for something lighter, more compact, and rust resistant. Thanks.

Monty, I don't know of any plastic ones, but I have seen smaller diameter master cylinders, meant for people who want power brakes with big blocks that have tall valve covers. They're steel I think. Eventually they'll probably rust too, in a couple hundred thousand miles, but I'd rather have the strength. Plastic likes to "cook" in high heat environments. Especially when there are things like turbos in the engine bay. :)

I have been looking into this lately. Most probably a late model 95 or so chevy 1 ton silverado pickup with disk brakes all around.
Our M/C have a 1.125 bore, so we would need something at least that big or bigger to have enough pedal due to the rounout problems on our cars.
I plan to check the junkyards soon to see what i can find. Please also let me know if you find one.

I haven't found one that fits yet, but I did find one that doesn't fit. :lol: I ordered the generic aluminum/plastic Wilwood unit that Summit sells, and the mounting bolt holes were way too wide to fit our cars.
