I have recently heard that late model camaro seat belts will bolt into a C3 vette without alteration. Is this true and if so, which years of camaro in particular should i look at?
If my memory serves me right (and it hasn't served me very well lately), the rear belts out of the mid to late 80's camaro are the one you should be looking for. Hopefully, someone else will verify. Have you searched the archives since there were several threads about this?
Late model (96-99 I think) REAR Camaro will fit with some slight modification. In some applications (shoulder harness that goes through the seat bezel) ) they will not work like or pass for original. Slight bending of the retractor mounting flange might be necessary to fit under the seat/in the rear quarter extension. I bought 99 Camaro belts for the 72 and very little bending of the flange was necessary. Hope I've helped ya!!

Yep, 93-up Camaro or Firebird rear belts is correct. I've had mine for 6 years now in my 71 (actually, I was the one that originally came up with the idea as I also have a 96 Z28), and they have worked perfectly. The "neutral" (that's what the camaro interior color is called) is a perfect match for my saddle interior.
