Default 69 SB radiator shroud mounting bracket question

While I have my shroud and radiator out, I have decided to clean up the frame, etc. Several parts are being replaced (removable front crossmember is rotted) and I am having trouble locating a pair of brackets that secure the bottom of the shroud to the frame. I have contacted Zip, Ecklers and Paragon. No one seems to know anything about these two "L" shaped brackets. This brings up the question, do I have the original shroud. I believe it is.

I do have an Assembly manual, but it is "unavailable" at the moment (let someone borrow it). Are any 69 SB owners familiar with these brackets?
The two brackets each bolt to the frame, then the long arm of the brackets bolt to two sheet metal brackets attached to the bottom of the shroud, thus holding the bottom of the shroud securely.

Thanks

Mark

Mark, I'm assuming that you have the aluminum radiator and metal shroud, because my with 26" core copper radiator, the plastic shroud mounts on studs that are a part of the lower radiator "U" supports. Unfortunately I'm not familiar with the configuration of the core support and shroud for the aluminum radiators.

If your car has the 26" core radiator, let me know and I'll take some pics of what mine looks like.

By the way, I started off just like you, to replace the core support and front crossmember. Here's where I'm at as of today:

I believe they are spot welded to the shroud. I have mine in storage so it's not easy to get to,you'll probably have to make some and weld them on.

Gary,

You are correct, there are two brackets spot welded to the shroud. These two brackets are then bolted to the "other", frame mounted brackets. It is the "other" brackets that I am looking for.

I am not positive, but I believe that my radiator is aluminum. It was replaced by the previous owner just before I bough the car. In any event, the shroud does not actually mount to the radiator support.

As for the front cross member, did you have any difficulty removing the two recessed bolts that secure the radiator support frame to the removable front cross member? I am having a hell of a time breaking them free. I have the rest of the bolts free on the cross member itself, but cant budge the two recessed bolts. I may head over to Sears and purchase their bolt remover kit.
