Tire Machines
My son changed a transmission in a Blazer for the manager of Price club and part of the deal was that they sold Steve one of their tire machines when the new ones came in.
Well I got a call that the new ones had arrived and they deliverd the old tire changer to my son's house and all it cost me was $250. I will have to move it to my shop soon.
For $250 CDN I got a modern tire machine for up to 21 inch rims or 42 inch mudders. The machine is in excellent shape and everything works.
Not that I will get $250 worth out of it but it is nice to be independent. I hope to get a balancer soon or as soon as he needs my son for something.
It's nice to have a son to rent out. :) :) :) :)

Yeah... my parent volunteer me for stuff all the time.
you wouldnt believe the crap ive had to do, and having a pickup truck makes it so much more a pain :lol:

Stop it guys. You are starting to make me feel guilty about loaning him out or renting depending if money changes hands.

I've always wanted to own one as well as the balancer. You may not get all of the use out of it, but you could probably get a little money back if you mount friends tires at a lower cost than normal stores. ;)

That's a great deal! It would be nice to have a tire machine but I don't think I'll ever change enough tires to justify me having one. When I needed my Mickey Thompson's mounted to my rallys I took them to my buddy who owns his own garage. He removed the old tires, installed the new ones and spun balanced them for $5.00 :) .

My dad's retired and I am always finding him small jobs to keep him busy and off the streets. Good pay back from all of those jobs he had to doing when I was young and all of my friends were playing within sight of me working.

Guys I don't charge friends. I won't get any money back but doing favours for frineds is it own reward.

Glenn You are right. I am constantly looking for projects around the house. She has to hold me back. My dream is putting another story on the house. I love construction. I have 3 outbuildings and would love to build another. I have threatened to turn my pool area into a waterfalls with lots of rocks. It would cost a fortune.
Every couple of years I have to build something. :) :)
