C'mon Guys (OT)
I LOVE this forum and I really enjoy the fun that we all seem to be having on it, but really.....is there any reason for sensorship? I agree with censoring the "F" word but words that most of us usually use everyday? Maybe I'm just of my rocker, but I really don't like my words being changed for me. I realize this is not "my" forum and I have to abide by the rules, but let us be ADULTS about this. I know, I know, you can't please everybody. Just my .02 I tried using the sh word with a * for i and it changed it to poopy. Same meaning, just a childs word.

I follow the rules on here...but it has always confused me why when you have two words with the EXACT same meaning one is offensive and other is not. I wonder what the origin of a cuss/swear/bad word is and why they are not acceptable. Also there have been some words in my lifetime that seem to have changed from being unacceptable to acceptable...both in common usage and on TV. If I were still in school, I could probably do a thesis on this. About as usefull as lots of other topics I have seen! :D

Actually, I understand the need for censorship, but the 'poopy' thing is pretty g*#@ @$@# funny! I always think of 40 year old men sitting around talking like my 4 year old.

I agree. We can talk about all the violence we want, but don't talk about taking a crap, because then you might have to use the "s" word. And don't talk about being with your lady, because then you might have to use the "f" word.
I don't blame the forum, though. I blame the censorship we are all bound by here in America.
Just the same, I have two small children. And I censor myself all the time. Even though I know they are just words, if I heard my 3 or 5 year old drop an "f" bomb, I'd have a problem.
So I guess some of this is necessary. But I'd like to think we are all adults here, and can handle a little bit of fun cursing.
