LOL....actucally the design would be pretty nice to have in our cars. I hear that BMW is close to having really what will ammount to the ultimate design: they are using solenoids to actuate the valves and can change both timing and lift on the fly. This allows them to control engine speed without throttle body...all done by the valves. Imagine having a perfect idle while at high RPM the "cam" changes to be agressive as hell!
