First, to recap...
My interior was originally saddle. Bubba decided that black would be better and he did a half-a** job of painting it. There were several spots where the black was peeling off and you could see the saddle underneath.
Decided to go back to saddle, but since the seat covers & carpet were relatively new, those were staying black.
The color I went with isn't quite the original saddle, but I think it looks pretty good nontheless.
So...without further adieu...I present my new interior:
I'm not quite done yet. I still have to install the right side dash pad that you (cleverly on my part) can't see in that pic.
Looks real nice.
I think that black and saddle is a nice combination.

Thanks. I like the combo too. I think that the saddle looks a lot more rich than did the black. I'm sure part of that is thanks to how poorly the black was done.

:iagree: that is a good combination. i need to re-cover my seats and would like to go with a black and camel mixed design. i think it would look pretty  with black around the edges and camel in the center parts of the seats covers....or the other way around
I think it looks great... the two tone gives it an added touch...
How long has it been since you did your seats??? It's next on my (never-ending) list, and I'm kinda wavering between re-covering in leather, or just throwing in some Corbeau seats. I need a push in one direction or the other....

The components are all what was in ther car when I bought it 6 years ago. The door panels are original as are most of the other parts. The console is a cheap replacement and it's on my list of things to replace.
I just re-did the finish with SEM from my locak paint supplier. Took me about 2 weeks to get everything done. That's working here & there in the evenings & on weekends to do it all.

The seat covers & carpet were fairly new when I bought the car. That's the main reason they stayed black. I'm not sure what I'd do if I were replacing them myself. I'd be pretty tempted to go with leather for the slight increase in cost.
One tip Kim. Go with a standard SEM color if you can (or buy the pre-mixed stuff from Zip or whomever). I had to go back twice for more paint and they had to fiddle with it to make it match each time, despite using the same 'recipe'. It all matches perfectly, but it would have saved some headache and time to get a standard color. But they don't have standard colors for older cars. They have newer colors though.
