I think what most of us missed is that IETEK did her a good deed and didn't even get a gesture of thank you for it. Now being the nice guy that IETEK is, I'm sure he wasn't expecting one but it would have been nice of her to acknowledge his help.

You know I generally try to be a courteous driver to everyone. But this takes the cake I actually stopped traffic yesterday to let a woman in a C5 across a lane of oncoming traffic. I was in my C3 and thought she would have at least gestured Thankyou but KNOOOOOOOOW the snobby B*&!% would'nt even raise her hand.

And probably doesn't even know your car is actually a Corvette, too.
I think that about 90% of C5 drivers don't know that a C3 is a corvette much less know anything about the wave.

I think about 2 of them have waved at me since 97 so i don't worry about waving at them first. Forgetabooutit

FASTGUY I'm sure they don't mean it. As with any new car people who don't know anything about the car or the wave buy it to look cool. My best friend is one of those people. I made sure he waves now.

When I drive 7T6HER to the office I see a C5 at the same intersection a lot. We always wave at each other. On the other hand, I was besided an 02 the other day and he just kind of wiggled his nose as if he was trying to dislodge a %^&. :steering: :steering: :steering: :steering: :steering:

Corvette or no Corvette... if someone is courteous to you on the road, you should thank them with a wave... so she didn't even do that!

I can't remember the last time a C5 guy in my town waved back except for the VP at my College, but I think it's because he knows me ( and a little about Vettes)
Most of the C5 drivers here are senior citizens trying to recapture their youth.

Monday of this week I saw 2 C3's and we were all giving each other VERY enthusiastic waves! :hurray: :seeya :seeya

You know how some women are. They think they'll get raped, mugged and left for dead if they smile at men. I'll wave a hand in thanks even when I merge into someone's lane ahead of them. If someone doesn't acknowledge my courtesy of letting them in, I just say frick em. I'm not gonna let their attitude determine mine.

Well I own a C3, and I wave too!

No doubt.

Wave, don't wave. Whatever.

She probably didn't know the devastating effect not waving could have on a fellow Corvette owner.

When it comes to courtesy, if someone doesn't wave, f-em. That's there crappy luck if they don't want to play nice.
