need help locating a part
Has anyone had to purchase the horseshoe shaped metal reinforcement that fits in the tranny tunnel and is used to support the two inner seatbelt bolts, can't seem to find it.
Any help would be appreciated

Need more info. what year is your vette? is it a bracket or a re-inforcment cable you need. I see pictures of both in here. I got the zip catalog here. Ill poke around and see what they have. Ill list back some part #'s for you but I need your year.

I need the steel U shapped reinforcement that the two inner seat belt bolts thread into, it is for a 71 coupe, the piece I removed is fubar. the cables etc are fine.

Thats wierd. The zip catalog lists "under body seatbelt reinforcements" for 68-69 and 72-73. But no listing for 71. theres a forum member whose name is Juliet. She has a 71 and restores it to original. She knows alot about these little things. Search the archives under her name then access her email address. Shoot her a note. I bet she has the answer. Sorry I couldnt find it.

PS. Zip does not list everything they carry in the on-line catalog, and their printed catalog availability is overdue by a year. :mad :mad

Try Caledonia Classics they make just about all the metal parts for a vette frame. I don't have their number but I'm sure you'll find them doing a web search. I think they're out of MI.
