I'm going to a local industrial fastener place tomorrow to get 2 10" (8" if the dont have 10s) Grade 8 bolts. Hopefully this will get rid of the 3" gap between rear tires and wheelwell. N-E-Way, the salesman recommended Grade C locking nuts instead of nylock nuts. I don't know a thing about Grade C locking nuts as opposed to nylock nuts or as opposed to using 2 nuts as jamnuts on the bolts. What are you guys using?
im glad to hear the confidence in the nylocks. i just dropped the a** end of my car about 1.5 inches and i just used nylocks... have only driven about 50 feet to make the susp squish out.
Be sure to check the clearence on yur tires inner side walls. With the longer bolts the big washer on the spring bushing can get really close to the sidewall. I had to use smaller diameter washers on the spring bushings since they were contacting the tire during hard cornering. Changing the ride height will also effect the rear camber setting so consider having that aligned when you get it setting where you want. I used nylon locking nuts + drilled a hole for a small cotter pin.
