Drains battery
My vette drains down overnight. I put a voltmeter between the + cable and the + battery and pulled all of the fuses still had a draw. What do I check next and where? In a different problem, I have no dash lights. Are the dash lights fused with the short fuse? What size is that?

I had the same problem with my '81, although it was because I drive the car very little. I installed a cut-off switch at the battery. Now she cranks up every time.

If you still have a drain with all the fuses removed, then check the positive cable to the starter. Disconnect the cable at the starter and check your voltmeter. If it shows a drain, you have worn a spot of insulation from the cable and you need to replace it. If no drain shows then reconnect the battery to starter cable and disconnect the smaller wire on the same lug as the large cable at the starter (this wire supplies the fuse box). If a drain exists then replace the starter/solenoid. If no drain then your problem is likely the supply wire to the fuse box has damaged insulation and is grounding.
