Default Cure time

How long should I wait before I can wash and then put a coat of wax on my newly painted vette?

I recently read a thread regarding wait time for a wax job on new paint on another forum which Sal Zaino responded to. I don't remember the exact amount of time, but, it was something like 10 days to 2 weeks tops to wait before waxing your new paint job. He said the old school recommendations of waiting a couple of months does not apply to the new technology paints and that if it is not dry in 10 days that it will never be dry.
