I'm redoing the brakes (calipers/hoses/rotors), dropping in a 383 & nitrous, replacing the steering gear with a rebuilt unit, putting on a new front bumper, painting, putting in new carpet, recovering the seats, dying the interrior... You get the picture. I hope to finish by early to mid July, anyone want to place odds on my success?

well my spring project as well.. carrying on from last year, I currently need to finish prepping the body, then lay down a coat of paint, Finish building up my TT406, replace the kicker panels, install rollcage, replace carpet, Do something with brakes, beef up rear end.. UGHH. but as soon as I can do that, then great. This winter I plan on just installing a new trannie and new wheels.

Well first i'm going to finish paying for :D (to a great guy from the forum here  ) then wait for shipping on a set of correct 68 headrest seats, dashboard, steering column and steering wheel (to replace the probably 77 parts that some bubba put in before I bought her). Plus smart struts, stainless parking brake rebuild, and maybe a steering box rebuild. Then if somehow the money fairy shines on me, a set of the wheel vintiques 17x8 chrome rally wheels, and tires to match. I think the money fairy is still a few months off with that one though ;)

Fix my oil pan gasket leak. (Blue one piece that doesn't seal well). Then pull the seats to get leather covers put on, then finish my big block hood, paint and install. Then we'll see where we are. Maybe a set of flamed valve covers to reward myself when all that's done.

First off is the new Exhast:
Going to install a pre-79 transmission crossmember and run straight back 2 1/2 in Exhuast through Dynomax Super turbos, and switch to a set of Hooker comp headers.
Second is a new woodgrain console
Burlwood console,speed/tach. Mahogony Steering wheel
Third, comming after the 50th anniversary caravan,a move to monoleaf rear spring and a vb&p monoleaf spring for the front suspension. New shocks all around.

After that I should be out of money and on my way to boot camp. Can't wait for the exhast...

I'm approaching Spring projects sparingly. Activities completed so far include the following. That is it until September:

Replaced valve cover gaskets with double-cork and steel shims to resolve leaks (the valve cover gaskets were not wanting to stay put with the new DART head surfaces) and added chromed OEM-style valve covers

Replaced passenger-side hard plastic intake ducting and PSI molded seals for ram air system (@ hood and radiator)

Fixed Transmission leak -shifter selector and seal (trans removal and re-install performed)
Re-jetted Carb
Re-coated Jet-Hot-coated Headers
All new v-belts
Taylor Spiro Pro Wires (8mm, Red), ACDelco spark plugs, Accel Cap/Rotor
Copperseal exhaust gaskets (@ heads and collectors)
18" long, 2.5" crossover in exhaust

Several Dyno runs to verify the performance/changes

Let's see...nothing major:

New Cam
New Intake
New Carb
New Gaskets (except heads)
New fan clutch
New trans rear bushing and yoke
Bleed the brakes
Touch-up interior bits where I mucked up the new paint

I won't start until next week, and that's all scheduled to be done for the drive down the the Cruise In.

I forgot to mention that I am also accumulating parts for interior refresh in 2004. Just started:

Replacement '82 shifter for my 700R4
plastic ducting piece for under dash
sealing materials for underdash ducting.
screw kit for interior...

Finishing my car!

Install electric choke wiring.
Install EZ Kool insulation and new carpet in the front.
Get broken driver seat rail welded.
Hook up power steering hoses.
Fill power steering system and bleed it.
Install radiator and heater hoses.
Install fan and fan belts.
Install exhaust pipes/mufflers.
Put wheels on.
Take car off jackstands and torque front control arm and rear spring bolts.
Make sure the engine, tranny, and rear end all have oil before starting the engine!

After that it's time to start looking for someone to paint it.

New springs and shocks all around. Just picked up my rocker panels last week from having them powder coated satin black. Strip and polish my wheels. Drive it :auto: and enjoy it :yesnod:
