I'm not familiar with the interior of a '78 but Wilcox is where I got all my interior stuff and they seemed to have a pretty wide selection. ALso very nice folks. :thumbs:

Metal Wulf, I took my 81 door panels to a local shop here in town and had them recover them...no more carpet or pockets on the doors to worry about. There is a pic of one of them at the top of this page www.angelfire.com/al/swhite7/interior.html.

There is a litte too much carpet in the 79 for my taste. Seems like GM carpeted everything but the dash. I would like to get rid of the carpeted kick panels. Does anyone know if the earlier versions in the catalogs fit in a 79.

BTW - Do I understand correctly that you do not need a dash speaker due to your kickpanels being so good (what size are they?) I am considering this:
Instead of:
2-4x6 2 ways in dash, no kicks, 2 6x9 3-way in rear, 2-8" woofs in rear
I am thinkning:
No dash speakers (re-installing the original
2 kicks - either 5 or 6 if they will fit
1 10 - or 1 12 in read with a 4 channel amp.
...still learning....
