4 times the contact area? The spark will only jump to 1 electrode. If it jumps to 2 (or more) all those individual sparks will be much weaker (and colder) than 1 good one. I don't see any benefit to those plugs, only a waste of money.
If you have 4 contacts, which one will the spark jump the gap from/to?
Only 1, YES, but which one? Eventually the spark will stop jumping from
one and start jumping from the other(s). Thus it would seem that the
spark plug would work better longer.
I read that people used to take spark plugs and file the electodes so they have
a sharp edge again. Then reinstall them and be almost good as new.

Thoughts?
yeah, i do this alot. i replace plugs about every two years, which for me, means about every 6-8k miles, in between i file the electrodes. not really alot of miles but that power transformer of a coil i'm running will flat blow the edges off a plug. just like a new plug, you have to make sure there is no bevel or crest when you do this. as stated above, spark jumps more easily from a sharp edge than a smooth, round edge.
Why bother  Why not do the same as Deen and get a set of softish Autolight racing plugs, better made, more accurate and will last longer
