Default Clutch Help

When I took the vette out this week for a drive a noticed a small radiator clamp in the drivers side floor board, so I was like great I wonder what bubba has done now. After a short drive I found out when my clutch went to the floor and would not come back up. The bar that runs thought the firewall and connects to the z-bar has a hole in the end that slides over the clutch pedal assembly the bar that runs though the hole was being held on by the radiator clamp, and when that came off so did the bar three times before I made it home:mad. The bar feels like it has a hole for maybe a machine screw or something like that to hold it from sliding off, does anyone know, I really don’t want to have to revert back to the clamp? Thanks for the input. :D

Default Re: Clutch Help (jac1502)

The clutch rod is held on with a "G" clip similar to the one on your shifter linkage. There is also a small spacer between the rod and pedal. There is an exploded view of it on Corvette Central's website. Search under "clutch" and you will see an exploded view of how it all goes together.
