I replaced my stock fuel pump with an electric unit. Does anyone make a cover plate to cover the hole where the old pump bolted to the block???
Any suggestions!
Most performance shops will have that...usually a nice chrome plated block off plate which comes with a gasket...or just the stock gasket would work. shouldn't cost too much either. Congrats on the upgrade to an electric pump...I get tired of cranking it for the 5 seconds it takes to get fuel into the reservoir before the engine kicks...I might be going to an electric pump sometime soon along with an EFI system.
All of the FI engines have a block off plate since they don't need them the mechanical pump. You could probably find one in a salvage yard for little or nothing, or you may have a friend with one lying around. Hershey :chevy
dang, I thought you were going to talk about a leaking fule pump and I was going to get info too. I have found fuel on the pump, but can't figure out for the life of me where it's leaking from. I'm going to have to start the engine with the car on stands so I can see if I can find anything, but right now's not the time cause I just have open headers. I like my hearing right now.
