Default Bubba came to LA some time back

Been working on carb for last couple days. Talking to Lars on some problems but when I took the carb off the car something did not look right. So after looking around it hit me the base gasket was actualy two gaskets stacked one on top of the other.
Half the primary hole was blocked off. Here are some pics.

watch for leaks when you install your new gasket. It may have been done to take care of a intake leak, although not done correctly. Hope every thing goes well.

Man, I would expect bubba to at least have the sense to chop up the gasket with some scissors
This is why I test fit everything ahead of time :smash:

Be sure to hit that intake with some silver or blue paint while you're at it. :smash:

Glad you solved your carb gremlin.

Don't want to spend to much time or money on this SBC. I will be installing a BBC hopefully before to long. I have most of the BBC parts all I need is to decide how big I want to go and then I can buy the rotating assembly and put the motor together and put it in the car. :)
