Default source for body mount bolts?

Anyone have a source for these? Also need some urethane mounts. Don't want to order from Ecklers or similar because of their insane international handling.

Thanks,

Marck

Do yourself a favour and stay with the stock rubber body mounts. There's no positive benefit with the urethane type.

All the major vendors sell a body mount kit with bolts, just pick the one that has the best sales and shipping policy.

actually I want aluminium but the alu ones are longer than the later models making the body sit too high. I don't care about rattles, my car will be uncomfortable. I am not a fan of rubber at all. I have poly everywhere else.

Hey TT - I bought all my body bolts at a local hardware store. 7/16" coarse
grade 8. The only thing special about the stock bolts is the tapered end for
easily finding the hole. I found little trouble getting a regular bolt to thread in
without too much fussing. I am using the poly mounts from ZIP. I hear you
on the international shipping/duty. The mounts themselves were only $45.
If you want solid mounts, then some 2"x2"x1" thick Aluminum stock with a 1/2" hole in the
center would work. The 70 had the original AL mounts in it. They were
corroded to hell - so I went with poly cushions. The AL mounts just require
a big thick washer on the top (grade 8 if available).

I forget the length that I bought for the bolts. I'll measure them tonight - but
the length will depend on the cushion/block that you use.

BTW - I think you got it backwards. The original AL mounts for early C3s are
about 1/2" thick. These would lower the body a bit.

yes, you're right, the older frames have the mounts higher on the frame, I had it backwards :)

Do you have the mounts installed or not?? If not, could you measure them too, I could just fab my own alu mounts.

I have pieces of the 70 aluminum mounts left. I have the poly installed.
I'll measure both this evening when I get home from work.

Here are a few pics that I took yesterday. I think they'll show what you want.

They are BIG pics. I didn't shrink them. If you have dialup, I can resize and email em.
