Good Luck with whatever you do in the future. I agree 100% that in this day and age you need to put your family and friends above all else. I thank you for the long strange trip called Merlin.......it has been a real HOOT!!! Just make sure whoever buys it becomes a member of the forum and keeps us updated on the car and I hope you stay away from the ricer forums and come here from time to time just to check in with the boys. BTW how big is your wing??? :lolg: :lolg: Just kidding.
Good Luck
As everyone else has said, Thanks for sharing your dream with us, and I'm glad you finished it:)
BUT- Why an Accord?? I can completely understand getting rid of the exotics, but replacing them with an Accord? Now an Accord is a great car, but couldn't you find some middle ground? Like maybe a 350z or the more grown-up G35?
I think having a cool car is the real Steve, and right now your just going through a phase ;)

PS- Keep in touch. We weren't just intersed in the the car we really liked you too!
You know what you're doing, no one else can live your life and I'm glad to see you happy. I just wish I had the disposable income to get the car! ;) I'd have loved to be the one to carry on the legacy for ya.
I used to drive by Park Place almost every day. I lived down the street near the corner of 132th & Bel-Red road and would cut across to 20th on my way to work. They often had some of the nicest cars there. They had an F50 out front when they first came out if you get what I mean. If anyone can find a buyer for your car they can.
And yes, it seems that luck does count for something...look at me...I haven't worked for like 2 years, so I'm going back to school. Kudos on getting the Office 11 contract.
It was great following your project. I'm still planning to put a Whipple on a new big small block in my Vette as soon as I can figure out the rest of the details. You opened my eyes to the twin screws...
Hopefully, the pendulum has not swung too far. As one of the "older guys" here, I can say that I've been through it all, and almost sold my Vette a few times. I just threw a tarp over it and have always come back without regrets. Twenty years from now, when you are sitting around having a drink with your friends and swapping stories, no one will give a rats behind about having worked 130 hours a week. But I guarantee they will lean closer to hear about the quad-screw 522... :yesnod:
I can't imagine life without dreams. Nothing to strive for, no direction to follow. And sometimes dreams can become reality as in your case. Then you move on to the next one.
Go for the Ph.D. I did an executive MBA at the age of 45. That was one of my dreams. Darn near killed me emotionally and physically, not to mention a few dollars came out of my savings account, but some quiet evenings I look at that piece of wallpaper and say YES to myself. I did it....And no one can take that sense of accomplishment away from me. I believe you know that feeling also!
I've enjoyed following your post on your car. You've done a great job on it and it's unfortunate that you're letting it go. Like someone else said, if it's paid for maybe you should think about keeping it. You'll never do one like that again and you know the first love always leaves a lasting impression! Good luck in your career. Keep us informed! And don't work too hard. Cost me a marriage once. Take care! :seeya
It's been a very interesting several years following your project. The Forum is the better for it. One of the earlier threads mentioned Barrett-Jackson. Merlin522 would certainly fit their auction far better than eBay.
