Question Re: Fel-Pro Perma Torque head gaskets....
My original L-46 had 11:1 cr with the 64cc #186 heads. When I put the motor back together I wanted to lower the cr to make it more streetable. I'm now using S/R Torker heads with 67cc chambers.
I installed Fel-Pro's 1044 Perma Torque head gaskets with 4.20 (11.3cc)opening and a compressed height of 0.051. I figure my static cr around 10.23:1, which I'm happy with. With the comp 280H cam the DCR should be around 8.5:1.
As I understand it, I do not need to re-torque the head bolts. Is this correct, anyone else using any type of Perma-Torque head gaskets? Is it recommended to re-torque anyway?
