went to take off front calipers, but no-way of getting socket on bolts, or even an open end wrench.....seems there is a piece which is connected to suspension in the way.any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!

I dont recall there being anything in the way on the front caliper mounting bolts. Remember there are 2 bolts that hold the caliper halves together and 2 bolts that hold the caliper assembly to the mounting bracket.
I turned my steering wheel to full lock so the caliper was brought out on each side in order to more easily reach it. Maybe you can try this and see how it works for you.
