Hello everyone,
I just took delivery on my new toy, 1970 red BB vert (Yah!) She is really sweet. I will miss my C4 that I sold a week ago, but this is what I have always wanted. My old user name was JDF.
I will be visiting the forum often asking all you quenstions that you have probably answered a 100 time allready so a big thank you in advance. I am really looking forward into discovering the in's and out's of C3's (again, I had a '78 a long time ago so this is not all that new to me).
I will be enjoying driving it now, but it won't be long before I will want to do something to it. Starting off I will check the mechanics very carfully, change fluids, etc, but before long I think I want tilt/tel, hooker side exhaust, updated hiden stereo, and torq thrust D wheels/GFgoodrich tires. It looks very original, NOM, and I want to keep it that way for the most part anyway. Any initial advise is welcome.
You'll really enjoy driving it. It may not handle like the C4 or be as comfortable, but you'll enjoy the feeling of driving a classic. Be prepared to make some new freinds every time you get gas;) People love to chat while you are filling up.
Welcome to the C3 crowd. You picked out a FINE year corvette. :D I'll be on the lookout for your car specs for the '70 Registry if you wouldn't mind sharing the information! http://www.1970CorvetteRegistry.Org or click on the link in my signature below. ~Juliet
