You talking of the input linkage with the 3 universals on it?? I wuld think so...
I expect you need to extend your steering column shaft down a bit....grab it with vice grips around the outside on the smooth section....NOT the serrated section...and pull it down...maybe tap with hammer or pry gently against lower bearing for encouragement...should slide right down...some of them get a bit loosey goosey when taking old box out...not a problem...mine is loose as hell, and never a problem....
