I know in 1980 there was a duntov turbo Vette. I think it was built on an L48 platform. I don't know much more about it. I think they only made a couple of them. There is a guy on the forum who had one. He has a blue 68 with a flip nose. I think he also has a C5. I'm not good with names. I think his name is grandsport something. He may be able to help out more.
Vortec sells a supercharger kit for the small block Chevy. You have to run a Holley or Demon carb.
There were a few outfits in late 70's early 80's that are long since gone. I remember names like Turbonetics and Turbo International, Gale Banks, and others. Most all made kits for 'underhood' turbo conversions. All required use of their intake manifolds which are probably gone now (23 years later). Watch e-bay, maybe one will show up.
I just removed a Rajay from my 79, but have sold it, they are out there but tough to find. If you find one have someone check it out, they cost $300-500 to rebuild.
You should be able to calculate your needs for psi output of the turbo and find an aftermarket current production unit that could be implemented on the L-48. There's tons of Turbo forums on the net, I don't think the Corvetteforum is the best place for detailed info... check with one of these groups, and based on your displacement, compression ratio, etc. all you would really have to work hard on is fabbing a manifold for the application. There's plenty of room under the vette's hood for all your piping (at least compared to some imports I've seen).
