That's a '69 Baldwin Motion Vette (or replica)...I think I like the Motion Maco body kit better than that one, but I like the stock Vette most of all.
I have no complaints about Motions engine mods though. Back then you'd buy an L71 Vette (427 CU/435 HP) and take it to Motion Performance and they'd churn it into 482 cubes and 600 ponies......'course it would cost you $$$$$$$$......and don't forget about their 9 second 454 Vega....that one got them in trouble with the Feds!!!!!!!
Looks almost like it could be a Ferrari. I think its cool. You'd think that with all the work they put into it though, that they could get the hood to fit properly :jester.
I love the Motion Cars but was never crazy about the Phase III headlights. Caption for the picture follows:
"Distinguished from stock Corvettes by its fixed headlights, slotted taillights and a fastback rear window--not to mention a race-tuned L88 motor making 640 hp--a big attention-getter in the car corral was this 1969 Baldwin Motion Phase III 427 GT offered at $150,000. It is said that only five survivors can be accounted for out of the dozen or so constructed"
Hey, if you want a Datsun 240Z, buy a Datsun 240Z and quit ruining nice Corvettes!
I saw that same headlight treatment on a '64 here in Palm Springs. It just looks like :U
I do not like the headlights but as they say to each there own. But I sure would like to see some pics of the Moton corvette paint jobs? And to say the least a BB Vega is a beast to drive. Yes I played with one of those years ago with a 468 ,4sp M22 , 4.88. geared 9 inch.
Hmm, Datsun headlights on a Corvette...nope, thats ugly :U
:iagree: Not that I don't like Z's, but not with a Corvette morphed on to them. Besides, I've ALWAYS liked hidden headlights: Vettes, GTO's Cougars, Thunderbirds....
I looked at that creation for about 5 minutes just to give it a chance. Ya know.... maybe it will grow on you. Nope! It's dam fugly.
By the way... we've go some Bubba who lives off in the sticks outside Pearland who comes into town on the weekends with the wildest contraption I've ever seen. It's a 3-wheeler with a full rear axle from a car and a V-8 that he steers like a motorcyle. And he's got a bench seat behind him that he hauls around a couple of goats in. I WILL get pictures some weekend. It's a classic.
