Shes back....gas leak fixed, radiator leak fixed, driveshaft balanced and no more vibration. The weather broke just long enough for me to go for a test drive. The sun even popped out for 5mins or so. Man we,ve been gettin so much rain and cloudy skys lately. Ive washed the car down and put it to rest till the sun comes back...if it ever will.

Re: Down off the stands (Jvette73)
Should make for a lot nicer ride whenever the rain finally does break.
I just repaired my door lock mechanisms. I couldn`t believe how much difference it made in just the door locks.
I am curious about your driveshaft vibration. My car has had rear bearing replacement, new side yokes and bearings, u-joint replacement and even new wheels and tires. The vibration I get does not seem to start until about 45-50 mph, which is about 2300 rpm with my gears. If I begin to slow down (let off the gas) the vibration stops. You really cannot even feel the vibration, but I can hear a change in the pitch of the drive train noise. Is this similar to what you had?
The vibration I corrected by balancing the driveshaft was not really noticable untill 70mph. I have 3.90 gears so at that speed my shaft was spinnin pretty good. What gears do you have? I ask because the rear ratio will effect the speed of the driveshaft. Are you getting a high pitch(fast) vibration or a lower pitch shaking effect? Try sitting still in park and rev the engine gradually up thru the rpm to about 2500rpm and see if you feel the vibe then. It might be related to engine rpm rather than vehicle speed. I had gotten a bad torque convertor when I first did my trans swap that caused a vibration without the car even moving. The convertor was out of balance. Of coarse if you had yur driveshaft balanced you would be able to rule that out, even if it didnt correct the problem. My shaft wasnt rusty or bent, and it still had the factory weights, so I cant figure why it was out of balance in the first place, but it was.
