Car Won't Start-????????????????????
I went to start up the car today after the winter. I jumped the battery, and it turns over, but it won't catch. The distributor/wires look fine, the timing should be good. I'm afraid I have some bad fuel in the carb, or it's all gummed up. How do I drain the fuel out of the carburator to get newer, fresher gas in there? Also, I took off my valve covers, and put them back on-the gasket looked fine, but do I need to replace it everytime I take the covers off? :confused:

Just squirt some fresh gas down the carb and see if it run on it..If it does,emty the tank and fill up with some fresh gas.. :smash: :cheers:

So just aerosolize some gas straight down the barrels of the carb and into the intake manifold?
If it's bad gas, it will start (even if for a very short time) by dumping a small amount in the carb.
I assume you've checked for spark and all of the standard stuff?
