I heard a rumbling coming up the street and a '71 Corvette pulled into my driveway. It was my uncle's newest addition to his Corvette family. The '71 is a red coupe and has a 350 (270HP) w/ an automatic. The car has factory style '69 side pipes with the metal side pipe covers. LT1 hood (I love the way the hood looks). I didn't ask how much he paid for it, nor did i see how many miles it had. The engine bay is spotless as is the underside of the car and interior.
So now he has 4 Corvettes! He has a 1958 red/white convertable that he restored during his senior year in high school, black 1964 with a 4 speed and sidepipes, blue 1964 with a 4 speed and sidepipes and of course the 1971. The '71 is his first Corvette with an automatic.
My uncle also has my dad's old 1972 Chevelle SS454. Forest green with white SS stripes. I was joking around with him saying "so I guess now you have to sell me the Chevelle right?" I've been bugging him about the Chevelle for a long time but I don't think he'll ever sell it to me.
Just thought I'd share. The Prince song "Little Red Corvette" came to mind when he came pulling in. :)
Find out where you uncle works and see if they are hiring. My current job does not allow me to afford that many corvette :lolg: :lolg: Let's see some photo!
