I wonder if this was the original block in mg62's car. Maybe Mark could chime in confirming if it is/isn't based on the VIN? The 461 heads could have the 2.02 valves, but it is correct that most would have been on the lower HP versions of the 327 and thus would have the smaller valves. I have the same heads, '66 vintage, 58cc chambers with the larger valves. You can easily measure to be sure. The smaller valves will promote more low end grunt and then run out of breath at higher revs, the larger valves are the reverse. If I had an automatic car with minimal mods, I'd go with the smaller valves. Interesting that someone would have put these much older heads on, perhaps hoping for a minor "hop up" in performance vs the original "smog" low compression heads.
