Default A nice C-5 guy.

This morning I decided to take her out for the first time in 2 weeks, thanks to the weather, a guy in a red C-5 pulled up to me and complimented me on how nice my car looked. The wave is still alive in Michigan.

My first Vette was a '69 Cortez Silver, 427/400, 4 speed. I loved that car. I have been driving Vettes for the last 35 years. Currently, I am driving a QuickSilver '02 Coupe. I always had a soft spot in my heart for the Sharks. :yesnod: Just because some us drive C5s it doesn't mean that we don't respect and appreciate what has come before. Rumor has it that the C6 will have some C3 styling cues. I can only hope. :yesnod:

Save the WAVE!! :seeya

Here in mid-Michigan the wave is alive and well, happy to report! I have noticed a few C-5 guys and gal's that are a little scared of the big block sound but hey we are ALL Corvette owners, right?

I was at a stop light and a Z06 pulled beside me and asked me what year my car was and complimented on it. I of course had to compliment back considering his car is alot more expensive than mine(not cooler....just more expensive). :steering:

I always wave, whether I am driving my '79 or my 2000....but here in NY there are a lot fewer C-5 waves back..even when I am in mine.
Being long in tooth (old that is)..I remember driving my '61 and getting no waves from those snootie new vette guys...the C-3's!!!!!
Remember..ALL vettes are cool! not necessarily the drivers :seeya

I always wave. Heck, when I'm in my SVT truck I have to remember _not_ to wave.

Personally, I've found the most owners that do not wave are C4ers. Sorry, guys. That's not meant as a slam to those on this board who do wave (I figure 99% of the people on this board probably wave). But that's just my unscientific data. They don't wave at me in my C5 or my C3.

There's certainly some C5ers that don't wave at anything.

But ALL C3ers I've run into wave. :)
