Got waved into a car show this weekend...
I noticed a big crowd of people at the local shopping center and took a drive through after just washing the vette and it happened to be a car show. As I'm driving by the lady at the entrance waved me in and some guys in orange vests motioned me to park next to a shelby cobra and a 80 (?) vette. Backed it in and got out, all of sudden they ask/tell me to go register?? Apparently I just volunteered myself into the judging. First of all, my car needs paint in a bad way. I think every panel has some scratches and the interior is another story. Needless to say I didn't enter particularly after checking out the flawless cobra and vette I parked next to. The guy who owned the vette didn't even speak to me for about an hour. I don't get it. I guess his was SO MUCH nicer than mine :rolleyes: Or, maybe he saw my mods then looked back at his stock engine and didn't want to talk horses. His wife owns the cobra. Anyway, lots of good people asked questions and plenty (50 or so) cool old cars. I took some pics of the nicer side of my car in a row with the rest. I'll try to post soon. If nothing else it inspired me to get going again on the vette. :smash:

That sounds like what happened to me this weekend. I was just going to drive through the 2 fast 2 furious Friday night showing at the mall to check out the cars. Kids wanting to check out MY car mobbed me… Luckily there were police posted outside the mall so I didn’t look tooo bad when I turned down the requests to do a smoky burnout.
