Engine stall trouble
I was cruising down the road yesterday and had to make a last minute turn. I braked hard and made a right hand turn and the engine died. This is not the first time this has happened, but it only occurs when I brake hard and fast on last minute turns, normally to the right. What would be the cause and cure for this problem? My Idol is set about 650 rpms and the car normally runs smooth. I have a eldebrok carb less than 2 years old. :steering:

sounds like carb problem for sure. flooding or starving on hard breaking or turns. I'm not a carb guy but maybe try adjusting the mixture screws.

How's your float level? Might be low and getting air when the fuel sloshes in the bowl(s).

Thanks, I'll pull the top friday and make a small adjustment. It's been along time but I think I remember how. Seems like about 1/32 of a inch was a large adjustment?
