Yeah, that looks like a pretty good little drag motor. Too bad you'd need a huge hood to fit that in our vettes. I hate having hood clearance issues. :mad
I paid $2995 for my 383/465 HP engine.. and the engine was everything promised!!! If I ever need another engine.. I would buy from them again without thinking twice!!
I got to admit when you first got your engine I thought O'BOY at that price it's not going to last, but now with everybody getting them and having good results, it really seems like the way to go.
I had it dynoed a while back.. Unfortunately - the dyno shut off at 5300 RPM and the engine is supposed to peak at 6200 RPM.. The HP was still climbing when the Dyno shut off. The RWHP at 5300 RPM was 365... I would estimate around 375 - 380 RWHP at 6200 RPM...
Im glad to see your still likin Mark Lim's work. Unfortunately mine is still at Corvettes West getting body and paint work. They have had it almost 6 month -minus a 3 week stint when I grabbed it back to to trans, rear suspension, stall converter, shocks, carpet, rear brakes, rotors, and wheel bearings. Anyway, they say 2 weeks and then I have another 300 to finish break in. I got his edlebrock aluminum head engine, rated 425hp. What a blast! and I am a woodworker.
Hey I never got that video of your race to download properly. Is that convenient to resend. If you want...no big deal
Best wishes. Still, let me know if your headded to Desoto Speedway ever.

Well - I will be at Desoto on the 28th.. but I will be there with my C5.. I won't race the C3 until Fall.. The temps now are just too high to hunt for 11's...

Don't believe I ever saw in that ad any mention of the intake & carb. That's one of the first ads of their's that I have seen that might be a little misleading. It still appears to be a good value, just most of the time they note that they will sell the matching carb & intake if asked for.
So... what't the latest on your engine? I know you have been traveling quite a bit. I haven't uncovered my vette in 3 weeks. I'm still not sure where I am going with this project. Keep it? Sell it? I really don't know, but I am heading outside of Baton Rouge Saturday morning to meet a guy out of Knoxville, TN to sell him my race car trailer.
I'm kindof stuck with mine right now. Everything's in but the plugs run into the headers and they don't make the Accel shorty plugs for these heads. So I went ahead and ordered some different headers that are routed differently and they should be here Monday. Once they get here I'll be putting them on, filling up the engine and starting the break-in procedure.
Did yours come at TDC, Barry? I'm pretty sure mine isn't (haven't taken the time to properly check yet) and it makes me wonder why it didn't or how it got turned.

Travis,
I really can't tell you right off as I bumped the motor over numerous times working on getting a new starter shimmed correctly. What makes you think it is not? It's not hard to find that point if you aren't sure.
