Default Power Steering!

I have a 1975, and I need your help! I have had a lot of problems with my power steering, and I replaced the pump this weekend. This may sound like a stupid question, but the PS belt that comes off the PS pulley, should it be in the groove closest to the fan or the middle groove? Please let me know ASAP because I am at work, and I need to change it within the hour before I drive home! I drove it here with it on the one closest to the radiator, but when I just looked at it, it looks a little off center! Please let me know!

Joe

On my 78' the first groove (closest to engine) is the alternator, center is A/C and front (closest to radiator) is PS.

Ok I figured it out! I am missing a bolt in one bracket that will be replaced tomorrow, and that is causing the ps pulley to be a little off center! Hopefully I dont loose my belt tonight! :) Thanks!

:iagree: same on my 79. I recently replaced my P/S pump and pulley. Bubba had installed a double groove pulley that was 2 inches in diameter too big!
