Monty, red73, and myself use Becool radiators with auto tranny. @ $570 in the Summit Racing Cat.
Monty has a 600+ TT427 ci small block. He uses spall twin 11 inch without any problems.
I use twin 12 inch that have nearly twice the amp draw. I have heard of twin 13.5 inch
Someone once did a BTU test on aluminum radiators and the BeCool came out on top of Griffin. The BeCool has larger 1 inch cross flow tubes. They are both beautiful radiators.
I have the spal duals on a be-cool radiator. Yes, it is very close to the A-arms, but does clear. BTW, all my temp problems went away with the spals. Before it would slowly heat up in traffic with AC on on a 100F day. When it reached 230F I would turn the AC off and it would cool off some.
Now with the spals it goes to 195F where the fans kick in and it drops back to 180F.
I too have twin spals, work great very little noise and with the BeCool radiator is tough to beat. You can spend less, but I did not want to chance hurting my motor with something of lower quality. Go with the BeCool and twin Spals and you will - BeCool!!!!!
