You should be able to get rotary files made for aluminum cutting at the same source you buy your steel cutting bits. The aluminum cutting bits have their flutes spaced further apart and don't load up.

Never bother using a stone wheel on aluminum. It loads up and glazes over immediately. You spend more time dressing the wheel clean than you do trying to remove metal.

I use a bar of soap as a lubricant. I use carbide bits in a die grinder and every so often touch it to a bar of soap to load the groves and prevent aluminum build up. It cuts quit quickly.
I have seen magazine articles that claim it doesn't do any good but I still do it just so I feel better.
